I saw the tree before I saw anything else.
It stood alone along the edge of the cliff, separated from the denser forest behind it. The surrounding hillside was layered and heavy, trees blending into one another in shadow. This one didn’t blend.
It held its position at the break in the slope, distinct in shape and placement. Nothing about it was exaggerated. It simply occupied its space fully, without being absorbed into the background.
That separation is what made the frame.
The scene shifted not long after. The contrast tightened. The hillside flattened. The distinction softened. But for that stretch of time, the tree stood clearly on its own.
Each Stand Out print is released as a Collector’s Edition limited to 13 total prints worldwide. Edition No. 1 has been placed in a private collection. The current release is Edition No. 2 of 13.
Every print is produced personally by me using museum grade archival materials. From file preparation to final color and tonal adjustments, I handle the entire process to ensure the structure, depth, and balance remain exactly as captured.
