The aurora had been moving steadily across the sky, shifting and reforming the way it always does. Then the structure tightened. Color intensified. What had been flowing light suddenly felt shaped, almost deliberate. For a brief stretch of time, the sky took on a form that stopped me in place.
It lasted only minutes before dissolving back into motion.
There was no sound. No announcement. Just the feeling that something had arrived, revealed itself, and moved on. That’s when the name settled in.
